It's The Simple Things

Facebook shared a memory with me today from this website, and it reminded me that I hadn’t updated this site or the blog for many months. The last post was in October 2025, when I wrote about leaving CMA and wondering what might come next. At the time, I think I was standing in that familiar space between endings and beginnings, not quite sure what would take shape. Since then, I have really enjoyed writing for the new blog I started several months ago, which has surprised me

There’s a particular quiet that follows a big chapter. It ’s not silence exactly more like a hum beneath everything. After years of full calendars, constant communication, and creative urgency, the stillness feels unfamiliar. You think it will be restful, but sometimes it’s just… spacious. And space can feel both beautiful and strange. I’ve been sitting in that space lately after handing over leadership of CMA2, after years of shaping and tending a community that has meant s

So, what’s happened since my last blog post in 2021? Wow almost exactly four years ago! Much of our time has been devoted to our home in New Mexico. My art studio is very adequate with plenty of space for all my materials, nice natural light when the garage door is open, several work tables and lots of inspiratio

New Mexico has been calling us for a long time and we're thrilled to have now have a lovely home in the Farmington, NM.

During this quiet time one of the projects I've attempted, is to sort out years of digital photos. My hope is to get them organized so that

We arrived in Venice the day the Biennale Arte 2019 opened. The 58th International Art Exhibition.

A crazy time to move you say...YES!!! I say it too. December 1, 2018 was a pretty crazy time to make a major, huge move - but we made it, t
